Maintenance Advice | Wicker
- Wicker maintenance
  Braided plastic furniture, or wicker furniture, is weather resistant. You can leave them outside all year round. To optimally protect wicker garden furniture, it is desirable to put the furniture inside in winter. If the furniture remains outside, it is wise to provide the furniture with a protective layer by means of a wickerwork protector and/or to cover the furniture with a protective cover.
  A wicker protector / garden furniture protector, see image below, acts as a powerful UV filter that prevents the rapid discoloration, aging and weathering of wicker, textilene and vinyl and offers long-term protection against the adhesion of new pollution. The material remains flexible and will not break even at low temperatures.
  Cushions at wicker garden furniture
  The cushions of a wicker lounge set are water-repellent, not All Weather. To optimally protect lounge cushions, we recommend storing the cushions separately, preferably indoors, or in a designated cushion box.   Cleaning
  Wicker is easy to clean with lukewarm water and a soft brush, sponge or cloth, see images below, possibly supplemented with soapy water or green soap. Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents for your furniture such as caustic agents, all-purpose cleaners or chlorine. After cleaning, rinsing with lukewarm clean tap water is recommended.
  
  You can use a garden furniture cleaner for powerful cleaning of wicker, see image below. This is a cleaner that easily removes deeply ingrained dirt and stains, including green deposits, tree resin, bird and spider droppings on wickerwork.

Maintenance Advice | Teak wood / hard wood
- Maintenance teak and hardwood
  Teak
  Teak wood (and hardwood in general) is naturally extremely resistant to weather influences. This means that the furniture can remain outside all year round. Due to weather influences, the hardwood will eventually take on a silver-colored platinum color without losing its high-quality properties. Hairline cracks become visible in the top layer when the wood dries out. The formation of hairline cracks is a normal process and does not affect the quality. It is usually easy to remove with a little waterproof wood glue and a piece of tear paper.
  To preserve the original color of the teak wood, it is recommended to treat the garden furniture once or twice a year with an Oil or Oil sealer. An Oil sealer offers protection against gray weathering and aging of the wood and also offers long-term protection against the adhesion of new pollution. The polymers make the wood waterproof, but allow it to breathe, and prevent it from turning black. The Oil sealer Natural gives the furniture a slightly darker, yellow-gold color.
  
  Cleaning teak or hardwood
  For weathered products, the furniture must first be cleaned. Cleaning the furniture can be limited to twice a year by cleaning the furniture with warm water and soda or green soap.
  We also offer a number of cleaners, see photo below, that can restore the wood to its original condition. A hard brush or a scouring pad can be used for this, see photos below for stubborn dirt. Waxing should always be done in the longitudinal direction of the grain.
  
  When oiling the furniture, watch out for stains on light or stain-sensitive surfaces. You can also cover the teak garden furniture with a cover to prevent pollution. However, it is important that the wood is not completely closed and that there is space between the cover and the ground to allow the wood to 'breathe'.
  With adjustable furniture, the fittings of the chairs should be checked regularly for loosening due to the expansion and contraction of the wood as a result of varying weather conditions. If necessary, the fitting should be hand-tightened.

  Recycled or Vintage teak
  To maintain recycled or vintage teak furniture, a separate cleaner and protector is available that gives the wood a chestnut brown vintage look color.

  acacia wood
  Acacia wood is a sustainable hardwood from Asia that is planted on plantations. Characteristic of the wood is the grain and the natural structure, which makes the wood of each piece of furniture unique in terms of shape, structure and color shades.
  The wood is naturally resistant to weather influences. This means that the furniture can remain outside all year round. Due to weather influences, the wood will eventually take on a silver-coloured platinum color without losing its high-quality properties. When the wood dries out, shrinkage cracks become visible in the top layer. This is a normal process and does not affect the quality. Cracks are easy to remove with a wood line and sandpaper.
  Cleaning the Acacia wood can be limited to twice a year by cleaning the furniture with warm water and a cleaner, soda or green soap. Use can be made of a hard brush or a scouring pad for stubborn dirt. Waxing should always be done in the longitudinal direction of the grain. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner. Always consult the product information before you start maintenance.
  To keep Acacia wood in good condition, it is recommended to treat the garden furniture once or twice a year with an Oil sealer. An Oil sealer offers protection against gray weathering and aging of the wood and also offers long-term protection against the adhesion of new pollution. The polymers make the wood waterproof, but allow it to breathe, and prevent it from turning black.
Maintenance Advice | Garden Cushions
- Garden cushion maintenance
  The cushions of our furniture are fitted with 'high density' comfort cushions that retain their shape. The cushions are made of Olefin fabric with a water-repellent top layer. They are not All Weather cushions.
  Textiles can tolerate the influences of the bright sun well, but if the textiles are exposed to bright sunlight for a long time, there will be a color difference. To optimally protect the cushion, we recommend that you store the cushions separately, preferably indoors, or in a designated cushion box. A protective cover alone does not provide long-lasting protection for lounge cushions.
  In general, small stains can be removed by dabbing with lukewarm water. You can remove withdrawn stains, mold and weather stains using a stain remover, see image below. Most cushions in our collection have removable covers and can be washed at a maximum of 30 degrees, do not tumble dry. The filling cannot be washed.

- Aluminium: Low maintenance, beautiful and durable
  Our aluminum garden furniture has a high-quality powder coating and is treated in such a way that it is suitable for outdoor use. Much of our furniture is made with a resilient textilene fabric. Textilene is a fiberglass polyester cloth with an open structure, which means that this material dries quickly. You have a 2 year warranty on this product against product and material defects, excluding discoloration due to sunlight. This is 1 year for commercial use.
  Usage
  Only use the furniture for its intended purpose and always with a maximum of 1 person per seat and always in combination with cushions if these are supplied with the furniture. When taking a seat in a piece of furniture without the supplied cushions, the frame is loaded unevenly (point load), which can cause damage that is not covered by the warranty.
  To protect
  You can protect aluminum garden furniture by using a garden furniture cleaner and garden furniture protector, see images below, which removes oxidation, dirt and grime. It also acts as a UV filter and also restores the color of the material and prevents the adhesion of new dirt.
  
  A garden furniture cleaner is a safe and powerful agent that loosens grease and dissolves dirt so that only a light rub is needed to remove it. For best results, treat with Star brite® Garden Furniture Protector.

  Furniture with a textile rope (rope) has been specially developed for outdoor use because of durability and ease of maintenance. The parts with (synthetic) rope are mounted on an aluminum frame with a high-quality powder coating. When it rains, the moisture pulls through the fabric so that this material dries again by itself. You have a 2 year warranty on this product against product and material defects, excluding loosening of loose wires or discoloration due to sunlight. This is 1 year for commercial use.
  Usage
  Only use the furniture for its intended purpose and always with a maximum of 1 person per seat. Always in combination with cushions if these are supplied with the furniture. When taking a seat in a piece of furniture without

  Furniture with a textile outer fabric, also called upholstry, has a seat and back that consists of a quick dry foam filling over which a cover of Spuncrylic fabric is stretched, whether or not in combination with textilene. These parts are mounted on an aluminum base with a high-quality powder coating. The materials are specially made for outdoor use. When it rains, the moisture pulls through the fabric and through the inner filling, so that this material dries again by itself. You have a 2 year warranty on this product against product and material defects, excluding discoloration due to sunlight. This is 1 year for commercial use.

- If you want to order a product from our webshop, you can select it and add it to your shopping cart. It is also possible to first mark the product as a favorite before adding it to the shopping cart.

  If you want to complete your order, click on complete order. You can then enter your details to complete the order. If you want to continue shopping, you can click away from the store page or select another page. To complete the order you can follow the following steps:

I placed an order, but did not receive a confirmation email. What now?
- Orders in our webshop are automatically confirmed by email to the specified email address. This can take up to half a day before the e-mail has come through properly.
  After part of the day still not received at the specified e-mail address? Check the spam folder, sometimes the e-mails end up there. If there is no message in there either, your order may just as well have been received in good order, but please contact our customer service and we will help you further.
Has your payment not been successful or has not gone through properly?
- If your payment is not successful, please check in the first instance whether everything has been entered correctly. If you have taken a long time to make a payment, it may be that the page has expired and you therefore receive an error message. Failure of a payment can also have various causes, including an unstable connection. Please contact our customer service. We are happy to help you.
Will my order be assembled on delivery?
- All orders* (> €150) are delivered free of charge at home as a service. Small orders (packages) that are easy to assemble are delivered in a box. This is often also stated in the article.
  Deliveries of large orders and products that are difficult to assemble or are very important are offered by our own delivery service and can be delivered assembled, provided this has been agreed in advance and is stated on the order form. In some cases a surcharge is charged for this.

Not at home at the time of delivery, what now?
- It is the intention that someone is present at the time of delivery. If the delivery person has not yet arrived, please contact customer service to make a new appointment free of charge.
  If the delivery person has already been there, when the packages are delivered, a card is placed in the letterbox with a message that they will come again the next day. After the delivery of a larger order, a new appointment must be scheduled. Delivery costs may be charged for this.
How does pickup work and is it cheaper?
- Our standard method is to have the order delivered. But orders can also be picked up.
  Smaller orders can, after specific confirmation, be collected in one of our showrooms. The advantage of this is that this can be done at a desired time (within opening hours) and prevents someone from having to receive the order on location or wait for the delivery person. For orders under €100, this saves in any case the shipping costs. Larger orders can be collected by appointment at the showroom location / logistics point.
What are the shipping costs for an order abroad?
- Orders abroad include delivery costs and are customised. If you want to know the costs prior to an Order, please contact our customer service. If you have already placed an order, we will automatically contact you to discuss this with you.
Is there free home delivery?
- Yes, Stigter-tuinmeubelen.nl delivers free* at home throughout the Netherlands from €150!
  For orders up to €150, €5.95 shipping costs will be charged. Goods with a large size or heavier than 20 kg are sent by pallet transport at €55 shipping costs.

What is the delivery time?
- When we receive your order, your order will be processed. You will usually receive your order within one to three working days, unless otherwise stated with the product. For the delivery of large products, you will receive a call from our customer service within one working day to agree a delivery day / delivery time with you.
Do I have a cooling-off period / right of withdrawal?
- At Stigter-tuinmeubelen.nl you have a cooling-off period of 14 days, without giving any reason. This reflection period, or trial period, starts from the moment you have received the product. Within this period you can view or 'fit' the product. But keep the original packaging intact as much as possible and prevent damage and depreciation (for example by leaving the product outside or sliding over rough surfaces). After these 14 days, the purchase is a fact.
How does the return or withdrawal of an order work?
- Do you wish to cancel your order within 14 days? Fill in the withdrawal form here completely and correctly and email the completed withdrawal form to [email protected]. You can also print the form and send it to one of our showrooms. After registering your withdrawal, you have another 14 days to send the product to us. Refund of the purchase amount will take place as soon as possible, at the latest within 14 days after the return. Returning a package is at your own initiative and at your own expense. A large order can be collected by our delivery service, after making an appointment, a kilometer fee will be charged.
What should I do in the event of a complaint, complaint or damage?

How can I report a complaint, and how is it handled?
- In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about a product or about our working method, it is important for us to hear from you in order to improve the customer experience where possible. We kindly ask you to let us know. You can inform us about this in writing or by e-mail [email protected], but of course it can also be done more personally in the form of a telephone conversation or a visit to our showroom. In the event of a complaint about a product, please support it with a photo of the incident where possible. We aim to answer your comments within a few working days.
Do I have a warranty on my purchases?
- Stigter-tuinmeubelen.nl has a guarantee on all your ordered products according to the legal rights in The Netherlands. Statutory consumer warranty is also known as non-conformity where a product must do what you can reasonably expect from it. If a product becomes defective after more than six months, you as a consumer must be able to demonstrate that this defect was not caused by you.
  A warranty period of 1 year applies to the business market / catering industry. Here too, if a product becomes defective after more than six months, you must be able to demonstrate that this was not caused by improper use.
  For specific warranty conditions, please refer to the conditions on the back of your proof of purchase (if registered). Do I have to store / cover my products in the winter?
- In general, it is advisable to store your garden furniture in a dry place, to cover it or in any case to protect it with a maintenance product. This prevents pollution and discoloration and protects the product against weather influences.

- Garden furniture can be low-maintenance, but it is not completely maintenance-free! To keep your garden furniture in top condition, maintenance must always be carried out.
